Mary Robbins DeLoache, 36, of Charlotte, NC, died unexpectedly on Monday, November 1, 2010. Mary Robbins was born July 27, 1974, daughter of Jim and Lynn Pleasants DeLoache of Charlotte. She was a 1992 graduate of Charlotte Latin School where she played field hockey and soccer. Mary Robbins graduated from the College of Charleston and was a member of Chi Omega. She pursued a career in international banking and was fluent in Spanish. Mary Robbins enjoyed life, especially travel, the out-of-doors, exercise, health, Charleston, SC and impressionist art. She also volunteered at the YMCA and was a member of Christ Church. Mary Robbins was a member of the Joseph Kershaw Chapter of the DAR, the Colonial Dames of the 17th Century and the John D. Kennedy chapter of the United Daughters of the Confederacy. In addition to her parents, Mary Robbins is survived by a sister, Lee DeLoache Barnes and her husband, Samuel of Raleigh, NC and their son Sam; grandmother, Mary S. Pleasants of Charlotte; aunts, Mary Robbins Seal and her husband, Roger of Florida and Harriet DeLoache Case and her husband, Bruce of Florence, SC. Funeral services for Mary Robbins will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 5, 2010 at Christ Church, 1412 Providence Road, Charlotte. Interment will follow at 4:00 p.m. in the Quaker Cemetery in Camden, SC. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:30 until 8:00 at Hankins & Whittington Funeral Service, 1111 East Blvd, Charlotte and following the funeral service at Christ Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to The Council for Children?s Rights, 601 E. 5th Street, Suite 510, Charlotte, NC 28202 or Art With Heart, 601 E. 5th Street Suite 400, Charlotte, NC 28202.
