Mary Claire Vanasse Driscoll
October 22nd, 1948 - December 30th, 2021
Mary Claire Vanasse Driscoll, 73, of Kernersville, NC passed away peacefully Thursday, December 30, 2021. A native of Northampton, MA, Mary was the wife of 49 years to Robert “Bob” Driscoll and the daughter of Robert Vanasse and Mary Quirk Vanasse, both deceased. Mary was an active member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians and the Columbiettes. Survivors include her husband, Bob; daughter, Cynthia Settimo and husband, Anthony; son, Matthew Driscoll and wife, Patricia; grandson, Cole Settimo; sister, Kathleen Kelly and husband, Daniel; two brothers, Robert Vanasse and wife, Carol, and Michael Vanasse; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her brother, Edward Vanasse. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 2:00PM Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at Holy Cross Catholic Church with Father Noah Carter officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Gur Cemetery, Kernersville, NC. The family will greet friends from 6:00PM to 8:00PM Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Services Kernersville Chapel and also from 1:00PM to 2:00PM Wednesday prior to the mass at the church.
