Mary S. Eichstaedt (nee Duescher), of Waukesha, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 14, 2018 at the age of 77. Mary was born on July 19, 1941 to Gerhardt and Myrtle (nee Bullion) Duescher. After graduating from high school, Mary worked as a teller for Waukesha State Bank. In 1960, she married Gene Harter and was married for 37 years until he passed away from cancer in 1997. Six years later, Mary married Marvin Eichstaedt in 2000. She was a member of Reformation Evangelical Church in Genesee and the Waukesha Service Club, the previous president of the Practical Club, and volunteered at the hospital gift shop. Mary loved to read and participated in many book clubs and loved her flowers. Mary will be deeply missed by her husband of 18 years, Marvin; daughter, Rhonda (Vincent) Hastings of Golden Valley, MN; step-sons, John (Jamie) Eichstaedt of Huntsville, AL and Paul (Stephanie) Eichstaedt of Blaine, MN; grandchildren, Evan and Emily Eichstaedt, Joseph and James Eichstaedt, and Derek, Ericka, and Drew Hastings. She is further survived by sister Marlea (James) Weiss of Genesee, other relatives, and friends. Mary was preceded in death by her parents and first husband, Gene. The visitation for Mary will take place on Friday, October 19, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the 12:00 p.m. Noon service at Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd. Waukesha, WI 53188. Burial will immediately follow at Prairie Home Cemetery.
