Mary Fisher

Mary Ann Fisher passed away peacefully in Peoria, Arizona on December 16th, 2016 at the age of 74. The daughter of Andrew and Regina Serrante, she was born in Brooklyn, New York on January 20, 1942. Mary Ann was the third of seven children in her family and loved telling stories about her childhood. Mary Ann raised five beautiful children and was a mother to several of their friends along the way. While raising five children, she attended college and worked as an administrative assistant for many years. Mary Ann enjoyed spending time with her children, reading, cooking, traveling and volunteering. She had a deep belief in helping others less fortunate and instilled this belief to her children. Mary Ann is predeceased by her father, Andrew Serrante, her mother, Regina (Crowe) Serrante, her sister, Elizabeth Gasset, her brother, Jack Serrante and her sister, Andrea Brady. Mary Ann is lovingly remembered by her sisters, Patricia Serrante and Christine Maher, her brother Russell Serrante and wife Frieda, all of Staten Island, NY, her children, Michael Fisher, Mesa, AZ, her daughters, Ann Marie Fisher husband Richard Toeniskoetter and granddaughter, Veronica of Evansville, IN, Margaret Rittmann, husband Robin Vaughn of Flagstaff, AZ, Karen Staley husband Jim and grandson Harrison of Peoria, AZ and Theresa Fisher Varney, husband Joel Varney and daughter Rain. She will be missed by her cousins, and numerous nieces and nephews. A private funeral service will be held on Long Island, NY in June 2017. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to St. Vincent de Paul or the Humane Society.
