Mary J. Fuller, 88, passed away peacefully on January 7, 2012 in Apollo Beach. Born April 30, 1923 to Charles Jesse and Elizabeth Robertson in Anchorage, Kentucky. She served in the Second World War in the U.S. Navy, where she met and married her husband Andrew Fuller, who preceded her in death. A former resident of Fort Walton Beach, Florida, she had lived in the Apollo Beach area since 1972. She had a career in retail sales, retiring from J.C. Penney. She led an active life of friends and community volunteerism. First and foremost, she was devoted to her family and took great pride in her grandchildren. An avid reader she also enjoyed gardening and cooking gourmet meals. "Nana" affectionately known to her grandchildren was an awesome woman and lived life to its fullest. She is survived by her daughter Kathy Gallo, her grandchildren Michael and Rikard, her nephews Chuck(Audrey), Rik(Vicky) and Bill(Barbara), her niece Barbara(Charlie) and Sheri Jesse. Along with many grandnieces, grandnephews, great-grandnieces and a great-grandnephew. She will be greatly missed by family and friends. A member of the Presbyterian faith, her favorite charity was the Bellewood Presbyterian Home in Louisville, Kentucky. Memorial donations will be accepted at www.Bellewood.org/donate. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Contact the family for details.
