Mary Louise Grabowski

Mary L. Grabowski, 94, passed away on July 20, 2017 after a short illness. She was born in Philadelphia Pa., June 27, 1923; the Daugherty of Nicolas and Mary Attubato. She married the Love of Her Life, John T. Grabowski, on June 27, 1942. Mary was predeceased by her husband John, in 1974. Mary worked as a bookkeeper for a local Philadelphia demolition company, Robert Hawthorne Inc. for 42 years.In 1993 Mary relocated to Florida (Sun City Center). She was a member of the Prince of Peace Catholic Church where she was Treasurer of the Prince of Peace Singles Club. She volunteered with the Sun City Center Emergency Squad for over 3 years; Served as Treasurer for the Club Manor POA Board of Directors; and was very active in Sun City Center Mini Bus. Wherever the minibus traveled she was on it. She loved the theatre, music concerts, and places of local interest. Mary loved to travel and over the years set foot on every continent. She traveled this country and visited many of the scenic wonders of the USA. She also loved to take "Cruises to nowhere" and logged many sea hours in the Caribbean. Mary is survived by her Son, Thomas J. Grabowski (Bonnie) of Gulf Shores AL.; two grandchildren, Susan Marie Gagnon (Mark) and John T. Grabowski; two great grandchildren, Madison and Grayson Gagnon, and two Nieces, Olive Daugherty and Anita Pettibone. A Holy Mass service for Mary will be said on August 18th at 11:00AM, at the Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Sun City Center. Interment will be in Philadelphia at the Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
