Mary B. Johnson, passed away on Wednesday, March 19 at St. Petersburg General Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida. She was a long-time resident of Crystal Island, Madeira Beach, Florida. She was born in Appalachia, Virginia. She was the daughter to the late John and Sophia Panos (Esposito). Mary grew up in Bluefield, West Virginia. She was an artist and enjoyed music, singing and playing her Ukulele. She and her sister, Ellen were a performing duet named the "The Rhythm Redheads" in Virginia. She loved her poodle, Andre, who misses her dearly. She moved to Madeira Beach, FL with her late husband, Linwood William Johnson in 1962. Mary is survived by three sons, F. Robert Belcher, John Charles Belcher, James Linwood Johnson of Madeira Beach, and one daughter, Marilyn Hope Johnson (husband Richard) of St. Petersburg, her sister, Ellen E. Robbins (husband, Charles H. Robbins) of McLean, VA and six grandchildren, Alan David Belcher II, of St. Petersburg, Ann Marie Johnston (husband, Alec) of Cumming, GA, Robert Milligan (wife, Leigh) of Wilmington, NC, Elisabeth Funderbunk (husband, Rhett ) of Murrells Inlet, SC, Nicolette Anderson (husband, Ian) of Albuquerque, NM, Brittaney Hope Bialas of Jacksonville, FL, and ten great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her son, Alan David Belcher of St. Petersburg. A funeral service will be held at Northwest Church of Christ, 6355 38th Avenue North, St. Petersburg, on Sunday, March 23 at 2:00 p.m. where minister, Jim Shannon will officiate. Burial will follow the funeral at Woodlawn Memory Gardens, 101 58th Street S., St. Petersburg. Family will friends will gather in the Fellowship Hall of Northwest Church of Christ immediately following burial services. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her name to the SPCA of Tampa Bay, www.spcatampabay.org 727-586-3591.
