Mary Lou Kumor

February 15th, 1920 - August 2nd, 2013

Mary Lou Kumor died peacefully on August 2, 2013. She was born February 15, 1920 to James and Mayme Farrell in Butte, Montana. She attended St. Patrick Grade School and Girl's Central High School. Following her graduation she attended Butte Business College and started her career as a Bookkeeper for Safeway.She ended her career when she married Raymond Kumor in May of 1955. They were happily married for 23 years until his sudden passing in 1978. They enjoyed golfing, camping, traveling, cards and many civic activities and clubs. In 1979, Mary Lou moved to King City, Oregon and continued to pursue the activities she had enjoyed in Montana. She will be greatly missed by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She considered herself very lucky to have been active and healthy, enjoying all of the activities and sports in which her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were involved. She was always known for her quick wit which she retained to the end. She adored her family and admired the special qualities in each and every one. Surviving family are her children, Pat (John) Rickman of Portland and Tom (Marlene) Driscoll of Clarkston, WA. Her grandchildren are Greg (Suzanne) Rickman, Teresa (Jim) Bridges, Eric (Tracy) Rickman, of Portland and Danette (Brian Behler) Driscoll, Darci (Craig ) Wendt of Spokane WA and seven step-grandchildren. Her "Greats" as she fondly called the great-grandchildren are, Brooklyn Walter, Sarah Bridges, Cassie Wendt, Dani Bridges, Kylie Rickman, Courtney Wendt, David Bridges, Josh Rickman, Samantha Rickman and 11 step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Kumor, her parents, James and Mayme Farrell, brothers, James and Jack Farrell, sister, Helen Briney Navarro, and grandson, David Rickman.
