Mary Katherine Landers

"Palmer-Mary Katherine (Mansfield) Landers, 92, passed away April 10, 2018 with her family by her side. Born February 23, 1926 in Schenectady, New York, she was the daughter of Walter B. and Helena (Smith) Mansfield. Mary has been a longtime resident of Bondsville and was very active in the former St. Bartholomew's Church and current was a member at St. Thomas Church. Mary worked as a Registered Nurse for over 25 years at the Monson Developmental Center and was an avid bicyclist and in various bicycle clubs. She enjoyed sewing and knitting along with playing cards and bridge. After her retirement, she was continued to be very social and involved in many things and also took many travel adventures. Mary will be dearly missed by her daughter, Margaret Landers along with her husband, Al Hebert and his son, Jason Hebert. She will also be remembered by her ex husband, Thomas Landers of Palmer, her sister, Patricia Dusza of Nanuet, New York along with many dear nieces and nephews and three beloved cats. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sisters, Marjorie Gazeley and Ellen Sidello. Visitation will be Monday, April 16th from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home with a funeral mass Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Thomas Church and burial to follow in the parish cemetery. Friends and family may gather at the funeral home between 9-9:15 a.m. Donations may be made in her name to St. Thomas Church or the Special Olympics-MA, 512 Forest Street, Marlborough, MA 01752."
