Mary Alice Marston

October 2nd, 1929 - August 23rd, 2024

Mary Alice (Yost) Marston, 94, of Wilder, passed away on Friday, August 23, 2024 of natural causes. She was born in the Caldwell hospital to Harold and Edith Yost on Oct 2, 1929.  She attended school in Homedale, graduating in 1947.

Mary spent her childhood farming with her parents and brothers at Yost Farms in the Fargo community. She married Bill Marston on November 24, 1948 at the Dewey Palace in Nampa. To this union, three sons were born Doug, Dan and Ted. She dedicated her life to being a homemaker, wife, mother, and grandmother.

She was a member and past Worthy Matron of Eastern Star, Silver Star Chapter #83 in Homedale and a 50-year member of Rebekah Lodge in Wilder. Mary dearly loved her family and was a devoted grandmother. She will be truly missed by family, friends and community.

She is survived by two sons, Dan (Deb) & Ted (Debbie); sister-in-law Marie Celmer; five grandchildren Derek (Chris), Dana (Alex), Scott (Whitney), Anne (Seth), Leslie (Sean); nine great-grandchildren Andrew, Nathan, Charlotte, Gatsby, Laney, Shelbie (Storm), Elizabeth, Sam and Hudson; 2 great-great-grandchildren Stone & Sofia.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents, husband Bill, son Doug and his wife Lynne, brothers Chuck and Tom and their wives Melba and Carol, and brother-in-law Leonard Clemer.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, Sept 7th from 1:30 – 2:30 pm at the Homedale First Presbyterian Church with the funeral service at 2:30 pm.  Burial will follow at Fargo Cemetery in Wilder, Idaho.

The family would like to thank Grace Assisted Living and All Care Hospice for the dedicated and loving care shown to Mary over the past 19 months.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Idaho Youth Ranch or any charity of your choice.
