Mary Padgett

Mary Frances (Granny) Padgett, 89, of Lexington, South Carolina passed away November 26, 2019 at Lexington Extended Care, Lexington, South Carolina. She was born on May 9, 1930 in Laurens, South Carolina to the late Jonah and Lillie (Owens) Edgins. Mary is survived by a daughter, Dale Hayes of Pelion, SC, son, Johnny Padgett of Columbia, SC. Two grandsons, Bobby Hayes and Billy Hayes, seven great-grands, Bobby Hayes Jr., Shelby Robinson, Ashley Atkinson, Austin Hayes, Wade Brazell, and Cole Hayes. One great-great grandson, Oliver Robinson and one sister, Patricia, and numerous nieces. Preceded in death by husband of 48 years Charles Padgett, son, Reginald Padgett, son-in-law, Melton Hayes, granddaughter, Donn Ginn, three brothers, James, Jonah, and Homer Edgins, one sister, Lily Wooten. Mary was retired from Olympia Mills and Oxford of Columbia. Also she left behind her furbabies, Bella, Neal, and Tiger. We want to thank Nikki and others with Compassionate Care and Lexington Extended Care for their compassion and concern for our mother. A memorial will be at a later date.
