Mary Lee Peters

Mary Lee Peters, 81, of Yuba City, CA, passed away on September 1, 2015, with her husband and daughter by her side. She was a long time Yuba City resident. Born March 17, 1934, in Longmont, Colorado, Mary Lee moved to Yuba City at a young age. She attended Yuba City schools and met her high school sweetheart, Leo Peters, while attending Yuba City High School. They were married 62 years.Mary Lee was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings. She spent many hours serving at the Family History Center and had a great love of genealogy.Mary Lee is survived by her devoted husband, Leo Peters, of Yuba City, and her children Teresa (Mark) Russell, Rebecca (Brent) Weston, Randy (Cindy) Peters, and Melia (Tony) Frank. She had numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers Tom (Ann) Harroun and John Harroun.She was preceded in death by her parents Charlie and Alma Harroun, her sister Charlotte Harroun, and her twin who died at birth, Eva Lee Harroun.A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 12, 2015 at 2:00 PM at the LDS Stake Center, 1470 Butte House Road, Yuba City. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sutter North Hospice, 400 Plumas Blvd, Suite 115, Yuba City, CA 95991.
