Mary Piccione, age 96, of Gloversville passed away on Friday May 28, 2010, in the company of her family who she loved and cared for. She was born on July 17, 1913 in Johnstown, NY and was one of eight children born to John and Justina Pollack Wittmann. In 1936, Mary married Frank Piccione. They spent several years together united in marriage until his passing in 1959. Mary is survived by her two daughters: Francesca Piccione and Paula Manzer Bernard both of Gloversville, three grandchildren: Mary Peterson Steve, George Emden and Christie Emden Greg. Additional survivors include: six great grandchildren as well as one great-great grandson. There will be no calling hours or services. Interment will take place in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Johnstown at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home; 51 Fremont Street, Gloversville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Mary to Mountain Valley Hospice; 108 Steele Ave; Gloversville, NY 12078. So long Mary P. it is your turn to carry the bag.
