Mary M. Priolo

Mary M. Priolo, age 96, of Gloversville, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 7, 2020 at her home. She was born August 10, 1924 in Little Falls, the daughter of the late Frank and Millie (Urgo) Gargiulo. She was employed by Grandoe Gloves and later in life at Mcnab School as a teacher’s aide. Mary loved to be with family, sing, watch the Yankees and attend the Saratoga Racetrack. She had a vibrant spirit and was the life of every party. Mary was a devout Catholic and a dedicated member of the Church of the Holy Spirit. She enjoyed volunteering at the summer festival and bingo. She was married to Philip P. Priolo on September 14, 1947. He passed on July 19, 2011. Mary is survived by three children, Dominic Priolo (Denise) of Beverly, Massachusetts, Sharon P. Poling (John) of Gloversville and Philip Priolo (Lisa) of Ballston Spa; brothers Alfred, Louis, Frank "Bebe", and Robert Gargiulo; sisters Frances Gargiulo, Midge DeMagistris, and Dorothy Roy; grandchildren Dominic and David Priolo, Justin Poling, Jenna Davis, Gianna and Michael Priolo, great grandchildren Ali and Luca and many beloved nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Mary was predeceased by her sister Connie Passero. A private Mass of Christian Burial will take place at the convenience of the family at the Church of the Holy Spirit with the Rev. Donald Czelusniak officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery, Johnstown. Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to St. Jude Children’s Hospital and Church of the Holy Spirit, Gloversville.
