On Saturday, December 12, 2020, Mary Madison Randolph died in Santa Barbara, California. Mary Madison, lovingly known as “Mei Mei” by friends and family, was born on February 13, 2000 in Richmond Virginia. She attended St. Catherine’s School in Richmond through second grade where she was loved by friends and teachers. She then moved to Macon, Georgia where she attended Stratford Academy. In Macon, her passion and talent as an equestrian rider flourished. There, she found friends who turned into family and was loved and adored by all. She fell in love with the outdoors in Tuxedo, NC, where she attended Camp Green Cove with her siblings, cousins, and step-sister.. That love for the outdoors drew her to the landscapes of Southern California. She moved to Santa Barbara in August of 2019 where she hoped to finish her credits in community college and transfer to a University of California campus. Mei Mei loved fiercely and brought joy to the lives of everyone around her. She was a music lover, a dedicated foodie, and a very impressive cake baker. Her infectious laugh and quirky dance moves always kept the party going, and she gave the best hugs. Mei Mei was always looking for adventure, and she ran at it head-on. When there wasn’t enough excitement, she created it. Her adventures were many, and she smiled through it all. Mei Mei is preceded in death by her Grandmother, Susan Stone and her Uncle, John Stone. Mei Mei is survived by her mother, Jennifer Stone, her father and step-mother, Key and Holly Randolph, her brother Ben, sister, Hagan,step-sisters, Caroline and Anne Holly Agnew, step-brothers, Ross and Vee Agnew, grandparents, Kice Stone, Patricia Randolph and Fred Wajda, Fairfax Randolph and Kathee Stone, and many cousins, aunts and uncles. Mei Mei was independent, full of grace, courageous, adventurous, and captivating. She is loved and missed by all. In the words of actor, mental health advocate, and poet Lili Reinhart, “The beauty of something doesn’t cease to exist just because it ends.” Mei Mei was, is, and will always continue to be our beautiful girl. A private memorial service will be held at 3:00 Monday, December 21st in the Memorial Garden of Christ Church. The Rev. Cynthia C. Knapp will officiate. Services will be streamed live by visiting, www.facebook.com/snowsmemorialchapelbass/ For those attending masks and social distancing are required.
