Mary Rose Riley

MARY ROSE RILEY – Mary Rose Riley, 80, died on April 23rd, 2022 at her family home. She was born February 26th, 1942, in Whiteville, NC. The daughter of Walter Earl Bass and Eunice Pauline Bass. She resided in the Tampa Bay area for many years at her Gray Street Home and then retired with her husband of 62 years Ed Riley to their Valrico FL dream home. Mary Rose moved to Tampa with her family in the early 1950’s and worked at the Dog n Suds as a curb hop where she met the love of her life and husband of 62 years Ed Riley. Together they owned and operated a small airport where they provided flight instruction and good company to support a family environment. They raised their two daughters Sandra and Lisa while running the airport which they sold in 1980 so Ed could pursue an additional adventure with helicopters. They treasured the time spent with their airport family members. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister Nancy and her brother Jimmy. Surviving in addition to her husband Ed Riley, are her two daughters Sandra Cincotta (John) and Lisa Riley. Grandchildren, Ryan Edward Skiba, Perry John Cincotta (Liz), Jessica Clarice Cincotta, and Alyssa Rose Ortman. Great Grandchildren John Alexander and Bellamarie. Sister Carolyn Browder (Nathan), Brother Billy Bass (Pat) She is also survived by loving nieces and nephews and their family members. She will be Loved and Missed by Many. A memorial service of remembrance will be held Friday May 13th at 11:30am at the Florida Mortuary Funeral Home. 4601 N. Nebraska Ave Tampa, FL 33608. Pastor Kenneth Ball will be saying some words. After the Memorial the family will be having a gathering at Outback Steakhouse in Temple Terrance.
