Mary Jean Stoddard

Mrs. Mary Jean Stoddard, age 92 a resident of Auburndale passed away Thursday, July 6, 2023 at her home. Mrs. Stoddard was born February 28, 1931 in Butler County, Nebraska to Frank and Mary (Buresh) Blazka. She was a resident of Auburndale since 1997 coming from Nebraska, a retired Nurse’s Aide and worked several years as a Leggs Pantyhose distributor. Mary attended Victory Church in Lakeland and St. Joseph Catholic Church in Winter Haven. She enjoyed gardening, flowers and reading. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 63 years – Merle Stoddard; 3 brothers – Frank, Joe and Tony; 1 sister – Lucille. Mary is survived by her daughter – Pamela (Michael) Ciarlelli of Auburndale, FL.; son – Steven (JoEllen) Stoddard of Lebanon, TN.; 6 grandchildren – Timothy Ryan Brester of Polk City, FL., Chelsea Jeanine (Ryan) Payne of Lakeland, FL., Matthew (Carley) Stoddard of Lebanon, TN., Stephen Merle (Brooke) Stoddard of Hendersonville, TN., Jenny Stoddard of Lebanon, TN. and Andrew (Christa) Stoddard of Lebanon, TN.; 4 great grandchildren; nieces; nephews; grandnieces and grandnephews. Graveside service will be 12:00 pm Friday, July 14th at Auburndale Cemetery. A celebration of life luncheon will follow.
