Mary Stout
June 3rd, 1928 - June 8th, 2012
Mrs. Stout, 84, of Charlotte, NC, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 8, 2012. She was born in Three Mile, NC on June 3, 1928, to the late Gilroy Ingram and Hallie B. Ingram. Mary Lee was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and homemaker. She was a member of Assurance United Methodist Church that was formed from St. James United Methodist Church approximately fifteen years ago. Mrs. Stout was a member of the United Methodist Women's Group and the McFarland Sunday school class which she enjoyed very much. Mrs. Stout attended Crossnore High School in Crossnore, NC and worked for A&P Meat Packing Plant in Charlotte, NC. Survivors include her husband, Ray D. Stout of Charlotte, NC; son, Raymond D. Stout and wife, Shelley of Denver, NC; daughters, Barbara S. Eaton and husband, Pat of Sherrills Ford, NC and Freda S. White and husband, James of Charlotte, NC; grandson, Chadwick L. Stout and wife, Amy of Charlotte, NC; granddaughters, Emily S. Stiven and husband, Alan of Denver, NC and Audra E. Barbour and husband, Scott of Mooresville, NC; grandsons, Dustin D. White and Russell R. White both of Charlotte, NC; six great-grandchildren, Hunter, Hannah, Alan, Zachary, Nicholas, and Sylvia; sisters, Mildred I. Pritchard and Martha I. Fisher and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents Mary Lee was preceded in death by her brothers, Max, Ben and Bill Ingram and her sister, Jean Waddell. The family would like to thank the staff of Presbyterian Hospice and Dr. William Larson and his staff for their support. Funeral service for Mrs. Stout will be held 4:00 PM Monday, June 11, 2012, at Assurance United Methodist Church with the Reverend Chris Westmoreland officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Graveside service for Mrs. Stout will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday, June 12, 2012, in the Pyatte Family Cemetery in Newland, NC with the Reverend Ken Lance officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Presbyterian Hospice and Palliative Care, 324 N. McDowell St., Suite 200, Charlotte, NC 28207 or Assurance United Methodist Church, 9700 Mt Holly-Huntersville Rd., Huntersville, NC 28078.
