Mary Ann Tomkins
December 28th, 1944 - September 17th, 2007
Mary Ann Tomkins, formerly Morawski 62, of Bedminster, New Jersey concluded her journey through life on Monday, September 17, 2007. Ms. Tomkins was born on December 28, 1944 in Amsterdam and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Eleanor Vogtlander Morawski. She was raised in Canajoharie and subsequently lived in Los Angeles and Morristown, New Jersey before moving to Bedminster ten years ago. She graduated from Canajoharie High School in 1962 and obtained her Associates Degree from State University Of New York at Morrisville and , subsequently, her Bachelors Degree in accounting from California State University in Long Beach. She was employed as a controller for many years before retiring in 2001. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her brothers Walter and Charles Morawski and her sister Eleanor Nixon. She is survived by her companion, Evan W. Zwillman of Bedminster, N.J., her sister, Nancy Ahola of Voorheesvilee, N.Y. and Brother, Joseph Morawski of Kaunakakai, Hawaii together with nieces and nephews. Ms. Tomkins had a strong affection for her hometown and visited as much as possible, most recently attending her 45th high school reunion. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association, The American Heart Association or any other deserving charity in her name. A memorial service will take place on Satrday, October 13, 2007 at the Lenz & Betz Funeral Home, 69 Otsego Street, Canajoharie, N.Y. Fr. William Gaffigan, officiating. Interment will follow in Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery.
