Mary Kathleen "Kathy" Wanzeck, 90, of Parker, CO, formerly of Littleton, CO, passed away peacefully on April 1, 2019 with family at her side. Wife of the late William Travis Wanzeck, the love of her life. Kathy was born April 6, 1928 in Fremont, Ohio (Sandusky County) to Clarence William Frederick, Sr. and Celie (Molyet) Frederick. She obtained a degree in nursing (RN) from Bowling Green State University. On April 14, 1951 she wed William Travis Wanzeck in Fremont. Kathy enjoyed knitting, bridge, bingo, swimming, was a Colorado sports enthusiast and above all - passion for her loving family. Survived by her children, daughters Mrs. Martha Ann Petty (Lt. Col. Richard, USAF Ret) of Bountiful, UT; Mrs. Janice Ann Kellogg (Phillip) of Castle Rock, CO; Mrs. Kathleen Ann Woodruff (David) of Montrose, CO; and sons Mr. James Travis Wanzeck (Denise), of Franktown, CO; Mr. Thomas Frederick Wanzeck (Sandy) of Aurora, CO, grandchildren, Mrs. Gwendolin Ann Droz (Matthew) of Maputo, Mozambique; Mrs. Leslie Ann McCarlie (Dr. Wallace) of Winterville, NC; Mr. Jason Edward Petty (Megan) of Leesburg, VA; Dr. Stephen Travis Petty of Austin, TX; Mr. David Aaron Petty (Melissa) of Kaysville, UT; Dr. Bradley James Petty (Holly) of Bartlett, TN; Mrs. Brooke Leanne Peirce (Scott) of Moraga, CA; Mr. Ryan Phillip Kellogg (Amanda) of Edgewater, CO; Mrs. Kindra LeDuc (Jarod) of Castle Rock, CO; Mr. Travis James Wanzeck of Lonetree, CO; Mr. Tyler Ross Wanzeck of Wheat Ridge, CO; Mrs. Tara Lynn McDougal (Jacob) of Centennial, CO; Mrs. Kelley Marie Doebler (Steven) of Arvada, CO; Miss Christine Ann Wanzeck of Aurora, CO; Miss Rebecca Lynn Wanzeck of Aurora, CO; Mr. Michael David Woodruff (Amanda) of Ft. Collins, CO; Mrs. Jessica Lauren Howell (Aaron) of Berkley, MI; and 28 great-grandchildren. Also survived by her sister, Mary Margaret Notheis (Step-Sister) of Atlanta, GA. Kathy was preceded in death by her husband, William Travis Wanzeck, her parents, and brothers, Clarence William Frederick Jr. and Cyril Francis Frederick. ***CHANGE IN SCHEDULE DUE TO WEATHER***Rosary 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 11, 2019 followed by Funeral Mass at 1:30 p.m. Reception in Marian Hall from 2:30 - 4:30 pm, all at St. Mary Catholic Parish, 6853 S. Prince Street, Littleton, CO 80120. Final Resting Place with her husband at Ft. Logan National Cemetery. Committal Service on Friday, April 12, 2019, 11:00 a.m. at Staging Area "A". In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Kathy's memory be made to Catholic Charities Denver, Homeless Women's Shelter at ccdenver.org/donate (720-799-9311).
