Mary Lou Wilson

August 11th, 1950 - August 4th, 2024

Mary Lou (Hosick) Wilson was born on August 11, 1950 in Tucson, Arizona, daughter of Charles and Grace (Hamilton) Hosick. She entered eternal life on August 4, 2024, in her home surrounded by her family.

 

Mary Lou was born in Tucson and moved to Colorado soon after with her family. She met the love of her life, Marion Wilson, in 1966, and they married on February 14, 1969.

Mary Lou worked as a dental assistant while her children were small, then worked a variety of jobs until they moved to Calhan in 1995, where she became a homemaker.

Mary Lou was passionate about her gardening, canning, flowerbeds, and quilting. She loved people, especially her family and grandchildren. Mary Lou was always described as one of the nicest people one could ever meet.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marion Wilson; her parents, Charles and Grace Hosick; her brothers, Charles D. Hosick, and Roy Hosick; and her sister, Nancy (Hosick) Carlson.

 

She is survived by her children, Jennifer E. (Wilson) Braun and her husband Kevin, Scott E. Wilson and his wife Sharon, and Keith M. Wilson; grandchildren, Lacie S.  (Wilson) Hoffman, Chance S. Wilson, Gage L. Wilson, Molly G. Braun, and Macey G. Braun; great-grandchildren, Paislee and Woodrow Hoffman; as well as several nieces and nephews.

 

Memorial Service, 1:00PM, Saturday, August 24, 2024, Braun residence, 12340 Smith Road, Peyton, CO.
