Mary Eloise Wylie Taylor, 94, of Charlotte, NC, passed away February 8, 2015, at Charlotte Health Care. She was born in Chester, SC on August 30, 1920 to the late Samuel Erasmus Wylie and Johnnie Alma Harrill. Mary graduated from Erskine College in Due West, SC and was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church. When Mary first moved to Charlotte she worked with the FBI and was also a secretary to the Charlotte Chief of Police. She retired from Firestone Tire and Rubber Company after thirty years and also worked for Nationwide Insurance Company for ten years. Mary is predeceased by her husband William Edward Taylor in 1988; three brothers and one sister. She is survived by her children; Mary "Mickey" Fish (Dwight) Margaret Jordan (Steve), Sara Mullis, William Taylor, Jr., eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Services will be held on Friday February 13, 2015 at 1:00 PM at St. Luke's Lutheran Church; 3200 Park Road, Charlotte, NC. A visitation for family and friends will take place one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Luke's Lutheran Church, 3200 Park Road, Charlotte, NC.
