Mary A. Zugibe (Zorn) born on September 8th, 1928, an only child to Aaron Zorn and Anna Konecni in Suffern NY, entered into eternal rest on December 17th 2022. Mary grew up on her family’s farm in Pomona NY, where she always had a love for animals. She worked at Avon in Suffern NY as a teenager, helping supply America’s troops during World War II. After the war she met her husband Edward P Zugibe Sr. at a square dancing event. And they married on June 19th 1948, residing at 12 Chapel St. Garnerville NY their whole life. Together with a lot of work and dedication, they opened Zugibe Hardware in 1956. With having a local business and her husband being the village mayor for 30 + years, Mary was extremely involved in helping her community with various events and organizations. Mary leaves behind her three children Victoria Zugibe, Valerie Manzione (Charlie), and Edward Zugibe Jr. (Eileen). Along with eight grandchildren, Erica Miller, Aaron Miller, Nicholas Manzione (Rachel), James Manzione (Nicole), Ashleigh Goldberg (Harris), Paul Manzione (Marissa), Candice Zugibe, and Michael Manzione. Along with her 5 great grandchildren, Emma Manzione, Griffin Goldberg, Julianna Manzione, Austin Manzione, and Aspen Goldberg. Visitation will be held on Thursday Dec. 22nd from 4-8 at McGowan’s Funeral Home in Garnerville, NY. Funeral will be held at St. Francis of Assisi at 10am in West Nyack on Friday Dec. 23rd. In lieu of flowers we ask kindly for donations to United Hospice of Rockland or St. Jude’s Children's Hospital.
