It is with great sadness that the family of Mary Ann Rizzotto announce her sudden passing on Sunday, August 4th, 2024 at the age of 91.
Mary Ann was born in the Bronx, New York, where she met her husband and the love of her life, Leo Rizzotto. They moved to St Petersburg, Florida in 1972 with their 3 children, where she resided for the remainder of her life.
Mary Ann was a beacon of light and hope in our community, touching lives with her many years of volunteer service at Florida Northside Hospital and St Petersburg General Hospital. She was very involved with Morning Star School, Special Olympics and Boys Town USA. Mary Ann was a member of the Sons of Italy, Red Hat Society and The Columbiettes. She also enjoyed her career of 20 years, working for Pinellas County Schools.
As a devout Catholic, she attended Holy Cross Parish, where she was a longtime member of Sisters in Christ. Mary Ann’s favorite past time was spending time with her family and friends, playing scrabble, watching Jeopardy and sports, and her love for animals.
Mary Ann is predeceased by her husband, Leo Rizzotto, and son John.
Mary Ann is survived by her daughters, Lisette Lynch and son in law Patrick Lynch, Lee Anne Rizzotto and partner Bill Beattie. She was blessed to be a grandmother to Alexandra, Kyle and Cameron. She is also survived by her sister Victoria and many nieces and nephews, whom she loved dearly.
