December 11th, 1952 - January 24th, 2019
Maryellen Murabito Grewer went to her eternal rest at her home on January 24th, 2019 at the age of 66. She was born in Chicago, Illinois on December 11, 1952 to Eleanor Smith Murabito and Alfred Charles Murabito and later moved to San Jose, CA. Maryellen attended Presentation High School and graduated from Chico State University in 1974 with a B.S. in phycology. Maryellen married the love of her life, James Grewer, in 1974 and they had three boys, David (41), Timothy (38) and Andrew (35). She was a devoted mother, grandmother, wife, aunt, sister, cousin, mentor and friend. She made a loving home with her family in Ben Lomond, CA. for over 40 years. She was active in her community and devoted much of her time to catholic ministry work. She loved to garden, cook, exercise and spend time with family and friends. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren; Mackenzie, Elizabeth and Lucas and was affectionately known as G.G. She worked in special education and ran a small preschool before working in the corporate world for over 25 years. The oldest of five siblings, she is survived by her brothers; Joe, Fred and Tony, her sister Teri, mother Eleanor, 15 nieces and nephews, husband Jim and three children. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her beautiful smile, infectious laugh, amazing spirit and generous heart. Services will be held at St. John’s Church, 120 Russell Ave., Felton, CA Rosary Service will be held on February 5th at 7:00 pm Mass Service will be held on February 6th at 11:00 am
