Matthew Graham Haynes, 42, passed away June 10, 2024 in Loveland Co. He is survived by his son Mason Graham Haynes, his mother Debra Haynes, sisters Sarah Campbell and Judy Stewart, nephew Dustin (Abby) Campbell, neices Carly and Riley Vance and Mason's mother Holly Thompson Reynolds. He was preceeded death by his father James Graham Haynes and his grandparents Royce and Bernice Howard and B.R. and Fayelene Haynes.

Matthew was born Oct 6, 1981 & began his life in Shepherd TX surrounded by his extended family. In 1983 his family moved to Loveland where he grew up and attended school, graduating from Thompson Valley High School in 2000. He worked in the art industry as a wax chaser at Madd Castings Foundry in Berthoud for many years. He attended Auguste Escoffier Culinary School in Boulder & worked in several restaurants as well as Hill's Mowing & Landscaping in Loveland.

Matthew discovered his love of music early in life when he received a beautiful blue plastic guitar for Christmas. He treated his captive audience family to many, many performances of "The Matthew Guitar Show". Encouraged by his Dad to develop his talent, he began guitar lessons at age 10. He soon switched to bass guitar & played both electric & upright bass in middle and high school Jazz Band & Orchestra. In high school he was in a band called the Gravitones which enjoyed some local success at venues around Loveland & Ft Collins. He had an extensive knowledge of and appreciation for many styles of music.

Matthew enjoyed camping and hiking with family and friends, cooking delicious spicy meals, reading and watching movies and comedy. He was a kind hearted man who was always willing to help others. His final act of thoughtfulness was the gift of organ & tissue donation.

A casual open house style Celebration of Life is planned for Thursday October 24th, 4-7 pm at the Trailhead Cafe at Grace Place in Berthoud Co. In lieu of flowers donation may be made to Donor Alliance Organ and Tissue Donation or Alliance for Suicide Prevention of Larimer County.
