Matthew Thomas Lantz, Sr.
August 24th, 1968 - January 11th, 2021
Matthew Thomas Lantz Sr, 52 of Puyallup, Wa passed away unexpectedly on January 11, 2021. Matthew was born in Chicago, Illinois to Francis and Barbara Lantz. After attending Amundsen High school, he went on to become a mason. He married Virginia Sullivan along with her son Bobby. Matthew and Virginia then had two beautiful children together Marion (Mimi) and Matthew Jr. He joined the Bricklayers Local 21 of Chicago where he worked for many years. Later in life he moved to Washington where he met and married Charmaine High. While living in Washington, he joined the Bricklayers Local 1 of Wa/AK, where he worked for Wards Masonry up until his passing. Matthew enjoyed traveling and riding his Harley year round and spending time with family and friends. He always wanted those around him to smile and laugh. Throughout his life, he has left behind a footprint with everyone who knew him. Matthew was a loving Father, Son, Brother and Uncle. His life and love will deeply be missed by all. He is survived by his mother Barbara Lantz(Tom), Wife Charmaine Lantz, Brother Michael Lantz. His daughter Mimi Lantz, sons Matthew Lantz Jr and Bobby Burchfield, Nieces Jennifer, Angela, and Zoe. Nephew Justin Lantz. Mother of children Virginia Lantz. Matthew is preceded in death by Grandparents, Father Francis, and sisters Nanette Krenzel and Marcy Lantz. . Memorial Services will be at 5:30 pm on February 13, 2021 at Edward’s Memorial Funeral Home in Lakewood, Wa.
