Matthew Jay Salas

Matthew Jay Salas passed away on Friday, April 9th 2021 in his Home in Castle Rock, Colorado. Matthew is survived by his two children Adam and Andrew Salas, his 3 siblings Rea Lynn Cerrone, Tony Salas, and Jennifer Gade, his father Raymond Salas, his mother Sandra Brown, his step-children Correy Richards, Casey Schwenk, and Cami Saporite, and, numerous nieces and nephews, and his numerous grandchildren Matt was Born in Denver, Colorado on May 16th, 1965. He graduated from Arvada High School in 1983, going on to excel in every everything he did in his professional career. If something was broken, Matt was the person to call because he could fix anything. His favorite job was being a father, taking remarkable pride in his sons, Adam and Andrew. His goal was to raise good men, and he succeeded. Matt was an incredible Father, Son, Brother, Uncle, and friend. Whenever Matt was asked how he was doing, he would respond, †œIt†™s the greatest day of my life! Yesterday is gone and tomorrow isn†™t here yet!†�. It was a motto that he truly embodied, living life fearlessly and endlessly without hesitation. Matt loved many things in his life but none more than his Family and Denver sports teams. Many of Matt†™s best moments were spent attending games with his Children, having visited 20 Major League Baseball Stadiums with them along with countless other events. Matt was the best part of so many family memories. Matt was a true expert on lifting spirits, able to put a smile on the face of everyone he ever met. His contagious joy and radiant charm were unmatched by anyone. He was truly genuine soul that made the world a better place. A private family service will be held for Matt Salas at Aspen Mortuary, 1350 Simms St. Lakewood, CO 80401 on Friday, April 16, 2021 at 3:00 P.M Due to COVID-19 restrictions, only close family will be allowed to attend followed by a public visitation from 4:00-7:00 P.M for all others to pay respects. A public celebration of life will also be held at The Backyard, 330 Third St, Castle Rock, CO 80104, on Thursday, April 22, 2021 at 6:00 P.M. This event will be open to all who wish to attend.
