"South Hadley - Maureen McCain, 68, passed away on March 21, 2016 in Holyoke Medical Center. She was born August 8, 1947 in Holyoke, daughter of Francis and Hilda (Scrabely) McCain. She was raised in Granby and has lived most of her life in South Hadley. Maureen retired, after working for 40 years as a registered nurse at Holyoke Medical Center. She is survived by two brothers, Thomas McCain and his wife Charlotte of Chicopee, Timothy McCain and his wife Deborah of Hampton, NH and a sister, Frances Vilbon and her significant other Rob Roberts of Williamsburg, MA. She also leaves five nieces and nephews, Jon, Michael, Joshua, Sarah and Kate. Calling hours will be held on Monday, March 28th from 9:00-10:30 am at the Beers & Story South Hadley Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 am at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Granby. Burial will be at West Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Holyoke Medical Center for the Emergency Room Building Fund, mail checks to Holyoke Medical Center Developmental Office, 20 Hospital Dr., Holyoke, MA 01040. "
