September 15th, 1959 - September 30th, 2019
"Palmer- Maureen E. Minnie, 60, passed away September 30, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on September 15, 1959 in Springfield to the late William and Brenda (LaMothe) O'Connor. Maureen previously worked as a home health aide at Quaboag Valley VNA and Hospice as well as at West Street House in Ludlow. Her care for children expanded to the Multicultural Center in South Hadley and currently working as a para professional in the Palmer public school for many years. In her leisure, Maureen enjoyed hiking, camping, was an avid reader and vacations to the beach. Family has always been the most important thing to Maureen. She enjoyed cooking for her family and taking annual family trips to Lake George. Maureen will be deeply missed by her loving husband, Daniel Minnie and 3 sons, William, Kevin and Edward. She also leaves behind her devoted siblings, Debra Nyman and Jeffrey of Feeding Hills, Patricia Connors of Indian Orchard, and William O'Connor and Naza of Monson along with many nieces and nephews. Maureen also leaves her adored in-laws, Sandra Besaw and James of Chicopee, Darlene Catellier and John of Springfield, Anthony Minnie and Ellen of Chicopee, William Minnie and Anne of Brimfield, John Minnie of Three Rivers, Pam Desrosiers and Peter of Ludlow and Karen Minnie and Julie of Springfield. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday October 4, 2019 at 10:00 am at St Thomas church in Palmer. Please meet directly at the church. Burial will follow at St. Thomas Cemetery. In her memory, kindly make donations to St. Jude's Children's Hospital. The family appreciates your concern in respecting their wish for no flowers."
