June 16th, 1949 - January 7th, 2018
Sweeney, Maureen Julie, 68. of Lutz, FL, flew with the angels on Sunday, January 7, 2018. She was born in Brooklyn, NY and moved to Florida in 2013. Even through the face of adversity earlier in life, her drive and determination helped her to achieve a Master’s degree which her family was extremely proud of. She lived her life the way she wanted to, and she loved her friends and family, particularly her fur babies Suzi and Maggie. She enjoyed spending time in her garden with her flowers & watching the birds. She is survived by her two daughters, April Romano (Ivan) and Lucia DiRosa; five grandchildren, Avery, Tyler, John, Christopher, and Jessica; three sisters, Patti Babiarz, Kelly Hines and Stacey Hines; and beloved nephew Adam. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Maureen's honor to Humane Society of Tampa Bay at humanesocietytampa.org. or to her favorite show Pit Bulls and Parolees rescue foundation.
