Max Karl Hadrika,80, of St. Petersburg, passed away Sept. 17, 2012. Max was born in Cincinnati, OH and moved to Florida with his wife, Carol and children in 1973. He was a graduate of The Ohio State University and a proud Navy Veteran. He started his 36 year career with the YMCA in Rhode Island, then moved to Connecticut, Massachusetts, and finally as the General Executive Director of the St. Petersburg Family YMCA. Max served the community as a member of the Rotary and Lions Clubs. He was a world traveler, an avid reader, and enjoyed swimming and entertaining at home. His greatest love was his family. Max is survived by his loving children, Kurt (Darlene), Heidi (Ed), and Holly; grandsons, Karl and Ethan; granddaughters, Emily and Hannah; sister Marion (Robert), as well as nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 52 years, Carol and sister, Katie. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Saturday, Sept. 22nd at the David C. Gross Funeral Home in St. Petersburg. Friends will be received prior to services from 10-11am. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memory Gardens in St. Petersburg. David C.
