On the morning of August 2nd 2015, Maxine Victoria (Pacheco) Perry 88, of Chico/Magalia California peacefully left this world to be with her Lord Jesus. Maxine was born to Sidney and Grace Abernathy February 6th 1927 in Oklahoma. As a young girl she and her family moved to California where they lived for a short period of time in Dayton, before moving to Chico. She attended schools in both Dayton and Chico. She met Joseph Pacheco while he was in the military stationed at Chico Air Base, known now as the Chico Airport. She married Joseph in Chico, and later moved to Tucson, Arizona before moving to the Bay Area. Years later she met and married Delmar Perry. They both later moved to Chico, California. Maxine worked for a company in the Bay Area Known as Eimac. She also was a Nanny here in Chico for several families. Maxine was a beautiful, loving, caring, and giving person. She took great pride in her family, home, and herself. She was very stylish, always looking like she had just stepped out of a magazine. She was truly loved by many; she was always there for everyone, always giving! She is survived by her children John Pacheco of Chico, Larry Pacheco of Magalia, Marilyn Scott of Magalia, 5 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, sisters Trudy Gray of Chico and Shirley Kelly of Montana, many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sid and Grace Abernathy, both of her husbands Joe Pacheco, and Del Perry, her son Gary Pacheco, Brother Charles Abernathy, sisters Francine Shaw and Louise Abernathy. Services will be held at Brusie Funeral Home, Saturday 1:00 pm, August 22nd, 2015. Afterwards there will be a potluck reception located at the clubhouse at Casa De Flores Mobile Home Park, 701 E.
