September 26th, 1938 - December 18th, 2018
Maxine Patton Walters, 80, went to be with Jesus December 18, 2018. Funeral Services celebrating her life will be 12:00 P.M. Saturday December 22, 2018 at Pierce-Jefferson Funeral & Cremation Services Chapel, followed by Committal Service at Gardens of Memory in Walkertown. Maxine was born September 26, 1938 in Wythe County, Virginia to the late Early McKinley Patton and Margie Kincer Patton. She attended Green Valley Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, and Granny. The family and friends will greatly miss all the baked goods that she made with such love. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by; her husband, Sidney “Sid” Walters; and sisters, Mary Gaye Sheffey, and Zola Patton McMillan. Survivors include; daughters, Vickie Price and Steve, and Diane Winters; sons, Bobby Walters and Sandy, and Stevie Walters and Stephanie; grandchildren, Kevin Jones, Michelle Lohr, Angel Osborne, Allen Wood, Adam Wood, Ryan Walters, and James Walters; great-grandchildren, Sydney Lohr, Hank Osborne, Boone Osborne, Mackenzie Wood, Dalilah Wood, James Adam Wood, Jr;, and Faith Wood; sisters, Mildred Johnson, and Carolyn Hale and Bobby; brother, Ray Patton and Kathy; and many extended family and friends. The family will visit with friends from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. Friday at Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Services Chapel. Memorial Contributions may be made to Green Valley Baptist Church, P.O.
