Life's JOURNAL of MAXINE DELORES WILLIAMS Sunrise: July 02, 1932 Sunset: August 27, 2020 Maxine was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, to James J. Johnson and Thelma Sylvia Martin. Maxine was one of 6 siblings, James (Jimmy) Johnson Jr., Elaine Johnson (Ellis), Alma Johnson, Theodore Johnson, Gordon, Jacquelyn Johnson (McKinney). In 1955 Maxine and Spouse Samuel LaFrance-Williams she relocated to El Paso, Texas, with their children. In 1958 Maxine joined the Adventist Community, with her membership at the Smyrna SDA Church there in El Paso. Maxine's ordination as an Elder was with the Southwest Region SDA Conference. Throughout her years in ministry, Maxine became a renowned Bible worker, Deaconess, an avid Children's Storyteller, Pathfinder member and Instructor. Also, she was a Medical Missionary. Maxine worked at Ochsner Medical Center in the Neonatal Care Unit for many years before settling into her own tailoring business, "Lady of New Orleans." Maxine is preceded in death by her daughter Aleska Williams and sons David Williams and Leonard Bolds. Maxine is survived by her Son, Erroll Williams of California, Yvette LaFrance-Burney of Indiana, Kristy LaFrance of New Mexico, and Tierney Langston of New Mexico with a a host of Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. Maxine Shared her love and attention with so many others, whom she proudly claimed as her adopted children and their families. Our beloved mother loved the LORD and wished for all to know the Gospel of Jesus Christ by witnessing and sharing with whomever she came in contact with.
