Megan Mae Bishop
December 19th, 1982 - January 12th, 2020
Megan Mae Bishop, 37, passed away peacefully January 12 with family by her side. She was born in December 1982, to Jeffrey and Lorna Bishop. After attending West Genesee High School, Meg went to Loretto Daybreak. Meg loved spending time with her family, flowers, helping her dad garden, watching movies, going for car rides, and the state fair. She was proud of her Scottish heritage and enjoyed the Scottish games and listening to the bagpipes. A child of Christ, Meg enjoyed weekly church services. We will miss her bright blue eyes and huge, heartwarming smile. Predeceased by her father; Meg is survived by: aunts and uncles Tom (Laurie), Scott (Bev Zorn), Fred (Christine) Bishop, and Luanne (Scott) Langille; and several cousins and their families. She also leaves behind many friends, and her biggest supporter, and cousin, Elizabeth Bishop, who loved Meg fiercely. Megan was truly a special person who touched the lives of so many people that love her deeply. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, January 15, from 3 to 6 pm at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, 2584 Field Lane, LaFayette; with a funeral service to immediately follow. Please wear purple- Meg’s favorite color- in celebration of her life. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation in Meg’s name to: Rett Syndrome Research Trust at reverserett.org/donate.
