Mei-Yun Zheng
February 23rd, 1942 - May 13th, 2013
Mei-Yun Zheng went to be with the Lord on May 13, 2013. She was the daughter of the well-respected Dr. Shu Fan Kuo and Shu Lan Lena Liu Kuo. An excellent student, she graduated from Teachers College in Fujian province, China. In her 20s, she was invited to play piano for the national dancing tournament in Beijing. She had a passion and caring for her students, and taught elementary school for 20 years in the countryside. For many years she met quietly in private homes with Christians in China. She moved to America in 1982 and loved going to church to fellowship openly and freely with other believers. In her retirement years she shared her faith passing out gospel tracts. Despite many unfulfilled wishes and numerous sufferings in her life, her faith remained strong in the Lord. She was a devoted daughter, mother, wife, and friend. Her kind-hearted care and boundless generosity blessed the lives of her family and friends. Her daughter, son, son-in-law, husband, sister, brother-in-law, five brothers, five sisters-in-law, and 50 nieces and nephews miss her dearly. Family and friends are invited to pay last respects Friday, May 17, 2013 between 4:00-8:00pm at Pacific Garden Chapel, 1050 Cayuga St. in Santa Cruz. Burial service is Saturday, May 18, 2013, 2:00pm, at Pajaro Valley Memorial Park, 127 Hecker Pass Road in Watsonville.
