MELISSA ILEAN PRICE WILLIAMS Church Hill- Melissa Ilean Price Williams, 49, of Church Hill, (lovingly remembered as Meme) went to sleep in Jesus on Monday morning (January 28, 2019). She was a lifelong resident of Church Hill and was a graduate of Volunteer High School in 1988. Melissa enjoyed being a part of the school choir along with various other activities. Melissa attended East Tennessee State University and later became a home health aide. She met and married her best friend, Richard Williams of 22 years. Mrs. Williams was a lifelong member of Mount Zion Tabernacle Church where she loved serving the Lord as Deaconess, Promotion Director, Choir Member, Women of Purpose Ministry, CEA Ministry, and Evangelism Ministry. She was preceded in death by her mother, Jo Ann (Maxwell) Price; her father, Calvin M. Price, Sr.; her brother, Calvin (Kenny) Price; brother-in-law, Carl Shivers; grandparents, Frank and Nellie Price and Monnie Maxwell. She is survived by her children, Shanque (Amanda) Price, Richard (R.J.) Williams, Shaquille Williams, and Marquise Williams; her loving grandchildren, Aaliyah Williams, Brooklyn Williams, Adrian Williams, Ariel Trent; her siblings, Valerie Shivers, Leslie (Clifton) Carpenter, and Jo Rita Ferguson; uncle, Richard (Rochelle) Maxwell; aunt, Beatrice Rogers; her brothers-in-law, Michael (Brenda) Williams and Montoya Fain; sister-in-law, Venita Lewis; her mother-in-law, Louise Wilson; a father-in-law, Donald Lewis; a host of loving nieces, nephews, along with great nieces, great nephews, and a devoted Mentor, Pastor Lester L. Turner, Sr. A visitation will be held on Saturday (February 2, 2019) at Mount Zion Tabernacle Church from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. or friends may also call anytime at the Williams residence. A home going service will be conducted on Saturday (February 2, 2019) at 2 p.m. at Mount Zion Tabernacle Church, 386 Dunbar Street in Kingsport, TN.
