Melvin Thomas Foley Merritt Island Melvin Thomas ""Tom"" Foley passed away peacefully, at home, in his sleep at the age of 85 on April 23, 2014. Tom was preceded in death by his wife Jo, parents, George and Clara Foley, brother Bobby, and nephew Michael Foley. Tom and Jo were the founders of Cape Kennedy Medals with the beginning of the space industry. Their most recent business was creating Space World-USA. Other than family, this was their passion in life for 46 years. Tom is survived by his daughter Debbie Foley Graham, who devoted so much love and care during his time of need, five stepchildren Benny and Tony Tickle, Kay Altes, Becky Hamilton, and Shelba Akers all of Virginia; sixteen grandchildren, tweny-three great grandchildren, and five great great grandchildren. A very special thank you to Monica Bernard for taking loving care of our Dad. Visitation will be from 5 till 7 PM Wednesday at Beckman-Williamson Funeral Home in Cocoa Beach. Funeral services will be 1 PM Thursday, May 1st at the First United Methodist Church of Cocoa Beach. Interment will be in Florida Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Vitas Hospice. You may sign Tom's guestbook at beckman-williamson.com
