Merlene Crabtree
December 25th, 2012
Merlene Crabtree, age 70, entered into heaven to join her heavenly father on December 25th, 2012. She was born in Ogden, Utah on June 3, 1942, to her loving parents Milton and Eu-Vada Carver. Merlene took pleasure in cooking, baking, sewing, painting, and spending time with her grandchildren. She graduated from Parma High School and attended Beauty College in Payette, Idaho, and for years cut her children and grandchildren’s hair. In 1961, Merlene married Preston Crabtree and they were blessed with four beautiful children. Merlene devoted her life to her children, giving them a loving home, caring environment, stability to grow and always and ear to bend. After the kids were grown, Merlene took a job at the Brown Bus Company for 14 years, driving children to and from school. She played her boom box on the bus, and gave items such as hats to kids in need. She will be greatly missed. Preceded in death by her parents Milton and Eu-Vada, her sister Tamara, and stepson Jeff. Surviving Merlene is her husband Preston, the love of her life, and her children Monty, Charlene, Kelsey and Stacey. Her siblings Vaola, Sheryl, Bryce, Anise, and Milva. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 31, 2012 at 10:30am at Flahiff Funeral Chapel at 624 Cleveland Boulevard, Caldwell, Idaho 83605. She will be laid to rest at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens following the services. In lieu of flowers, memorials or donations may be made to the American Heart Association and the American Diabetes Association. Our family appreciates your continued support and prayers.
