Merlyn "Doc" Jerome Ader

Ader, Merlyn Jerome "Doc" Age 98, of North Saint Paul. Born in Menomonie, WI on April 28, 1925. Passed away on July 19, 2023 surrounded by his wife, son, and daughter. Preceded in death by his parents, Jerome & Sena Ader; sister, Virginia; and son, Roger. Survived by wife, Elaine (97 years old); son, Dan (Cheryl); daughter, Kathy; daughter-in-law, Dawn; grandchildren, Jeremy, Ginger, Justin, Tom, Richard, Kristina, Michael, & Jill; great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Tyler, Jasmine, Jacqueline, Thomas, Dominic, Chloe, Zachary, Brianna, Bella, Emma, & Lilly. Merlyn worked full time for Whitaker Buick in St. Paul as an autobody repairman, and part time at Bartholmy Body Shop in N. St. Paul. He retired in 1987. Through the many years of being retired, Merlyn and Elaine enjoyed traveling in their motorhome around the country, also visiting and getting their book stamped at every state park in Minnesota. He loved to fish, hunt, and do woodworking. He liked watching the Minnesota Twins with wife, Elaine of 78 years of marriage. They also watched The Grand Old Opry & Polka Music programs on the FDR channel. Merlyn loved to listen to old time country and polka music. Enjoyed gathering with family and friends throughout the years was very important to him. Visitation at 10 AM on Thursday, August 24, 2023 at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church (2499 Helen St. N., N.
