Merrill "Dean" Dean Jenkins

January 24th, 1939 - August 23rd, 2024

Merrill Dean Jenkins, born on January 24, 1939, was a man whose life was as rich and deep as the forests he wandered and he was a devoted man of faith . On August 23, 2024, Dean set out on his final journey, reuniting with his beloved wife, Dot, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, resilience, and skilled craftsmanship. He is lovingly remembered by his son Greg, daughter-in-law Jan, and his four grandsons, Bryce, Joshua, Mike, and Nick, who will carry forward his spirit of adventure and generosity.

Dean's life was marked by the simple pleasures of outdoor life, his passion for camping and fishing reflecting his deep connection with nature. His hands, skilled in the art of carpentry, crafted not just wood but also the bonds of friendship and community. Those who knew Dean will recall his quick smile, a beacon of his loving and helpful nature, always ready to lend a hand or share a moment of joy.

Preceded in death by his soulmate Dot, Dean's departure has left an indelible mark on the hearts of those who knew him. Yet, in every finely jointed cabinet his touch remains. His legacy is not just in the memories he leaves behind, but in the community he helped build, the lives he touched with his kindness, and the natural world he cherished and preserved through his craft.

Merrill Dean Jenkins: a man of strength, love, and laughter, whose life enriched all who crossed his path. He will be profoundly missed, but the beauty of his work and the warmth of his presence will remain with us always. Rest in peace, Dean, and thank you for everything.
