Infant Mia Sky Hurley, daughter of Katherine (Whitney) & Skylar Hurley was born and passed away May 20, 2021 at the Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital, Santa Barbara, CA. Surviving are her parents of Ventura, CA; maternal grandparents Kathi & Hubert “Buddy” Amaker of Irmo, SC; paternal grandparents, Priscilla Shumway & Jack Hurley of Charleston, SC; maternal great grandmothers Carolyn Binnicker of Norway, SC and Martha Hartzog of Orangeburg, SC; aunts and uncles Brittney & Hubert “Kipp” Amaker of Gilbert, AZ and Allison & Morgan Hurley of Charleston, SC; cousins Rhodes & Legree Amaker of Gilbert, AZ and Isabelle & Kai Hurley of Charleston, SC; numerous great aunts & uncles and a host of additional family and friends. A paddle-out in Mia’s memory will be scheduled for a future date. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice or to the family. “Our little blond-haired Angel will always be a precious gift and memory.” An angel wrote in the book of life our baby’s date of birth, then whispered as she closed the book, “too beautiful for Earth”. ~ author unknown
