Salinas - Micaela Delgado, 68, of Salinas, passed away Monday, August 30th, 2021, at Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital, accompanied by her sister and nephew. Micaela was born Sept 8th, 1952, in San Diego de Alejandría, Jalisco, Mexico, the daughter of Manuel and Josefina Delgado. She was the 2nd oldest out of the 8 siblings. Survivors: siblings Maria Nichols, Jose Delgado, Antonio Delgado, Yolanda Flores, Concepcion Ruiz, and Martha Delgado of Salinas California. Micaela was also a second mother to Esmeralda Rodriguez, James Nichols, Robert Nichols, David Nichols, Brenda Alvarez, and Michael Delgado Nichols of Salinas, CA Micaela had a 35-year career at Fresh Express and planned on retiring this year. She was preceded in death by her parents, Manuel, and Josefina Delgado; sibling Manuel; and her son, Andrew. Funeral services will be held at Healey Mortuary in Salinas, Ca on Sunday, September 5th, 2021. Viewing will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and the Rosary at 4:00 p.m. Mass will be held on Wednesday, September 8th, 2021 at 1:30 p.m. at Sacred Heart church.

Healey hoped to find a way to continue to meaningfully help his county and community grow. He and his wife founded Salinas Valley Mortuary in 1956 to help serve the families in the Salinas Valley area. Their lifelong mission was to unselfishly serve area families based on their strong, trusting relationship with their community – something we honor to this day almost seven decades years later....
