Our Beloved Michael went to heaven on Sunday. May 25. 2014. Michael was treasured by all who knew him. He was a proud man and a friend to all. He was married to the love of his life for 26 years and was a husband and father first and foremost. He was a splendid cook and carried on traditions for family recipes and constantly created new and tempting dishes. He told wonderful stories about family. fishing and the 'old ways' with captivating and vivid artistry. He was a strong and yet gentle presence and you knew when he entered a room. He had a sage wisdom and always took the most pleasure in the simple things in life. Michael had a stellar sense of humor and to know him was to laugh with him. Michael was passionate to all things dear to him from his Harley. music. gardening to his harmonica. his beach. surfing and he was a great pool player. Michael took much pride in his last name. Life loved Michael as much as he loved life. He was born on July 4.1954 in Oakland CA. Michael is proceeded in death by his father Thomas Barney Bass and his eldest son Brian K. Bass. He is survived by his wife. Liz Bass. his son Thomas (Sandy). Mother Doris Johnson. brothers Tom (Marina). Donald (Jeannie) and sisters. Marjorie Kasik and Dianna Bass. his grandson James K. Bass Richardson and many nieces and nephews. Michael was the General Manager for Beach Electric for over 20 years. Services will be private for family only.
