Michael Allan Brown

May 25th, 1946 - July 21st, 2024

Michael Allan Brown 78, passed away peacefully at his home on July 21st, 2024. He was the husband to Gina Brown, and they shared 30 years together and 25 years married.

Born in Croft, England, he was the son of Frederick and Doris Brown. He obtained a Masters Degree in Occupational Safety and Health from the University of Leicester, England and had a successful business and career in Health and Safety. Michael emigrated to the United States and continued his career, the last years of his life he worked as an Independent Safety Consultant which he enjoyed.

Ā

Michael loved golf and was a member of the Savannahs Golf league where he ran the Saturday group. He was known by his golfing buddies as ā€œSilkyā€. He enjoyed travelling, his favorite place was Italy where we got married. Since childhood he was a devoted Lecester City football supporter and continued to watch every game he could on the TV.

Michael is survived by his loving wife, Gina, sons, Mark and Ian, grandchildren Eleanor and Annabelle, niece Jasmine Higgs and daughters Bonnie and Daisy. He will always be remembered for being a kind loving man with a great sense of humor.

It was Michaelā€™s wish to have a private ceremony. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Tunnel to Towers Foundation. www.T2T.org

Mike was a neighbor at Egrets and a friend at the Savannahs golf. We always found something interesting to discuss. He was a very fast player and it was fun to watch his silky smooth golf swing. Will miss you Mike!

Fellow Brit, but from north of the river Thames, always upbeat and positive. One of the good guys - taken far to soon. See you on the 19th one day. Martyn Thomas

I always gave Mike a hard time about his British accent and vocabulary. One time he mentioned a rubber, and it didn't make sense until he explained it was a rubber band.

Gina and family, I'm so sorry for your loss. I golfed with Michael and you a few times in couples league, and in the Tue/Thu/Saturday league at Savannahs. What a lovely man and a fun golfer. We will miss him very much.

Mike was such a nice person and so friendly with everyone he met. He grew up near where my daughter lives in England and always asked how she was doing. He will be greatly missed and always remembered.
