Michael John Bruno June 22, 1941 - February 2, 2016 Michael Bruno, 74 of Port Charlotte, passed away unexpectedly with his family by his side. He was born and raised in Paterson, NJ and graduated from a New York culinary school in the 1960s. In 1970, he relocated to Port Charlotte with his wife, Ann. Mike was a man of many trades. He worked as an antenna installer, sewing machine repairman and at Walmart for many years, where he made a lot of friends. His favorite vocation, however, was cooking and Mike enjoyed preparing food for Charlotte Harbor Yacht Club members for 13 years. He is survived by his loving sons, Anthony Thomas and Michael Jay, as well as extended family members living up north. Mike was predeceased by his beloved wife, E. Ann Cacace Bruno and his parents, Anthony Thomas and Catherine A. Cacace. A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 11, from 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM, with a service starting at 1:00 PM, at Charlotte Memorial Funeral Home. Entombment will immediately follow at Charlotte Memorial Cemetery.
