Michael "Mike" Jay Busbee
October 9th, 1989 - July 23rd, 2017
If you ever stepped foot into New Brookland Tavern in the past 10 years or so, chances are you met the man known as Mike Busbee. He devoted everything he had in him to building and growing the local music scene and was in most bands that we talk about to this day. On July 23, 2017 Busbee lost his fight with depression. He is survived by his mother Misty Brooks, his brother Jayson Busbee, his New Brookland family and the entire South Carolina music scene he worked so hard to help build. There will be a gathering of family and friends to celebrate Mike's life at 124 Oak Street, West Columbia, SC on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at 2:00 pm.
