"Belchertown – Michael J. Cataudella, 86, of North Liberty St., died Saturday, September 29, 2007 at Wing Memorial Hospital. Born on December 25, 1920 in NY, NY he was the son of the late Joseph and Rachel (Cebolini) Cataudella. He lived in Brooklyn for most of his life before relocating to Belchertown in 2006. Michael was a proud Army Veteran, serving his country during WWII. He was employed as a machine operator on the docks in New York before retiring in 1983. In his leisure he loved to dance, his time with friends at the Belchertown Senior Center and trips to Foxwoods Casino. He was a 23 member of the VFW Chapter 154 in Brooklyn, NY. Michael is survived by his stepson, Philip Ragusa and his wife Connie of Belchertown, his two children, Joseph Cataudella, and Rachel Montalbano and her husband Paul all of NY. His grandson, Dr. Charles Cavagnaro of Palmer, also survives him. His longtime companion, Jean Ragusa, predeceased him in 2005. A Mass of Christian burial will be on Friday, October 5 at St. Francis Church at 9:30 AM. Burial will follow at the Mass. Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery in Agawam. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Beers and Story Belchertown Funeral Home. "
