Obituary Michael Conklin has passed on to the next life. He would have been 33 in July. He was an amazing human being and had suffered an incredible blow a couple of years ago, losing his lower left leg in an accident at work, leaving him wearing a prosthetic. His actions, along with others, following the accident, saved his life. He was nothing short of heroic in his family's eyes. Michael was probably best known in HS for being a 2 x State runner-up in wrestling. His style was unorthodox and he was a joy to watch as he often finished his matches in under 2 minutes by pinning his opponents. The state champions both years he came in second had won National Championships. He was a veteran of the Navy and served on the USS George Washington stationed near Japan. His three great loves were family/friends, wrestling and working out at the weight gym. To plant Memorial Trees in memory of Michael Conklin, please click here to visit our Sympathy Store.
